Celebrating Ridiculously Awesome Customer Service

Last week, the Shared Services Center celebrated their dedication to providing ridiculously awesome customer service or “RACS” during customer service week. To kick off the week, the operation teams and SSC Education Committee rocked each floor with an awesome RACS song!

The Education Committee put together daily and weekly activities for SSC staff to participate in, including a penny war for charity where each floor collected a jar full of change which was counted at the end of the week, a scavenger hunt and freshly popped popcorn each afternoon. Staff received thank you cards and “Caught Ya Delivering RACS” kudos sheets to fill out — the thank you cards to recognize customers and the kudos sheets to recognize colleagues. Staff who filled an entire kudos sheet got RACS star magnets.

In addition to the week-long events, staff enjoyed a different treat or activity each day:

  • Monday – Donuts
  • Tuesday – Beginning and end word game, 30-minute open enrollment Q&A with HR
  • Wednesday – MHealthy demonstration and yoga classes, city scramble word game
  • Thursday – Pancake and sausage breakfast cooked by SSC supervisors, “what did you say” word game
  • Friday – Ice cream social and raffle drawing

Staff who participated in the word games, daily popcorn gatherings, and scavenger hunt earned raffle tickets for four $25 Amazon gift cards at the end of the week. Congratulations to George G., Carrie W., Jennifer M., and Lori A., who won the raffle! The third floor was also recognized for winning the penny war with 8,046 pennies or $80.46. Overall the penny war generated $177.37 to be contributed to a charity chosen by the winning floor.
