The Finance – Payroll Office has been working behind the scenes to make sure that there are no interruptions to the payment of compensation and benefits during this unsettled time.
Critical Payroll employees have been coming physically to the office as needed to run bi-weekly, monthly and weekly off-cycle payrolls. In response to the new policies developed by UHR to help with COVID-19 related work interruptions, the Payroll team has worked tirelessly to support the new banks of time. They created, tested, and implemented more than 30 new time reporting codes, time tracking codes and earnings codes.
In addition, Payroll Staff personally contacted over 500 employees that were previously picking up paychecks in-person! They helped these employees to make arrangements to get their checks by mail or direct deposit. Those contacted were extremely grateful for this communication.
