From Kevin’s Desk: Thank you for your service (11/9/18)

Dear Colleagues:

Happy Friday!

One of our B&F core objectives is to steward the university’s assets in all their myriad forms – money, buildings, grounds, people and more.  A critically important asset is the university’s data, which all of us use to make the many decisions we make every day.  To ensure that colleagues across campus can get the most out of their data, the Information Quest team has developed a suite of free trainings on our three main business intelligence products: Tableau, Business Objects and M-Reports. You can learn more about this terrific resource on our B&F website.  Even if you do not use these tools regularly, I think you will find the training valuable for building your experiential toolset!  Please join me in thanking the IQ team for developing this training and helping all of us make the best data-driven decisions – YOU FOLKS ROCK!!!

This Sunday is Veterans Day, which is near and dear to my heart.  My father was an Air Force officer who proudly served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.  I understand the sacrifice that the members of our military and their families make to serve each of us and our country.  I hope you’ll join me in offering a huge THANK YOU to the more than 100 veterans on our B&F staff and for the many across campus for their sacrifices and service – OUR VETERANS ROCK TOO!!!

Thanks for all you do to make this university great.

With much appreciation and gratitude,

P.S., Please post for staff who don’t have regular access to email.
