As you may know, we will launch our annual B&F employee engagement survey on May 13, which will provide invaluable feedback about the experiences of our staff, enable us to measure progress on our goals, and will also help us understand the impact the last year has had on our teams. While I am retiring from my role at the end of the month, I assure you that the interim EVPCFO Brian Smith and the entire executive team are committed to responding to the survey findings. I hope you will participate in the survey and help us identify ways to create a more positive and inclusive work experience for our B&F teams.
Thank you for continuing to support our university community during the pandemic and for going over and above to keep our campus safe. A wonderful example is the terrific work that has been provided by the Procurement Services team. Since last August, this group of professionals has delivered Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies to more than 40 departments throughout the Ann Arbor campus. This includes more than 31,000 individual bottles of hand sanitizer, 1,100 gallons of hand sanitizer, and 35,000 packs of disinfecting wipes. Additionally, they have distributed 1,500 bottles of disinfectant spray and 26,000 face coverings. Please join me in thanking them for helping keep faculty, staff, and students safe – Y’ALL ROCK!!
Next week marks my last week at the university before I officially retire. On April 30th, you will receive my final Friday message. While I am sad to leave B&F, I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with such a dedicated team of professionals. Thank you for all you do to make this university a great place to work. Go Blue!
With much appreciation and gratitude,
