From Kevin’s Desk: Exemplary Service (1/25/19)

Dear Colleagues:

Happy Friday!

Well, the winter weather has come in like a lion, as they say – what a week! Dealing with an ice event is infinitely more difficult than dealing with snow.  I want to give a huge thanks to all the teams who have been working around the clock to ensure our campus is safe and open for business. It’s one of the many ways in which you Make Blue Go, providing exemplary service each and every day.

Speaking of exemplary service, the university’s Service Awards program recognizes thousands of staff members who reach career anniversary milestones each year. This wonderful program to appreciate staff employees includes two large banquets, thousands of gifts, and gift catalogs available for each decade anniversary – all to celebrate the incredible work done by staff across the university. Wow! You can read more about this terrific program on our B&F website. Thank you to the Service Awards team and all the amazing staff across UHR who help make this program possible. You ROCK!!!

Our annual health and well-being incentive program, MHealthy Rewards, is going on now! This year, benefits-eligible faculty and staff who complete a wellness screening and health questionnaire by April 26 will earn $100. For a little extra motivation to get to the gym, completing the questionnaire also qualifies you for an optional fitness center membership reimbursement of up to $120. As a finance guy, I feel compelled to point out that this is a great way to earn $220! And as your colleague, I sincerely hope each of you will take this opportunity to focus on your health and well-being in 2019. Find out more about Rewards and sign up for an on-site wellness screening here.

Thanks for all you do to make this university great and stay warm!

With much appreciation and gratitude,

P.S., Please post for staff who don’t have regular access to email.
