This performance celebrates the opening of the Performing Arts of the Arab World series and the end of Ramadan.
18 Milton Nascimento and the Jobim Trio
8-10 p.m. - Hill Auditorium

One of the best-known Brazilian pop musicians abroad, performs alongside the Jobim Trio.
22 Life is for the Living (film)
7-9 P.M. - Michigan Theater, 603 E. Liberty, free admission

The story of six American Families living with the painful realities of various disabilities, set against the national debate about embryonic stem cell research. Filmed introduced by U-M alumnus Mike Wallace. Panel discussion with several individuals featured in the film.
26 School of Music, Halloween Concert
4:30 and 8 PM - Hill Auditorium, tickets $12/ $8

Annual favorite concert featuring the University Symphony Orchestra and the University Philharmonia Orchestra under the baton of graduate students in conducting. Don't forget to wear your costumes -- the orchestra does - or come as you are! It's fun for the whole family.
